Under the supervision of sophisticated monitoring systems and skilled craftsmen, sheets of glass are heated inside specially-made "curving chambers". At a certain temperature, the glass becomes flexible, and is stretched over the mould by the force of gravity. State-of-the-art technologies developed by Fiam are applied at particular stages in the process to ensure that the material is as resistant as possible. Fiam's philosophy is to combine these technological feats with the individual skills of the expert glassmakers. Each piece made by the manufactory is unique, pure - a transparent, sensuous line realized in ultra-thick, curved glass.
